7 Days 6 Nights - Selous Ruaha - By Air

Day 1:- Depart Dar with Coastal to Selous, One of the world's largest wildlife reserves (15,500 sq mi/40,145 sq km), Selous offers both tented camps and the Stiegler's Gorge Lodge. The highlight of Selous (pronounced se-LOO) is its large variety of animals, including impalas, hippos, Cape buffalo, wildebeests, hyenas, kudu, sable antelope, wild dogs, elephants, baboon, lions and waterbucks. Because Selous is so big, you aren't as likely to run into other tourists, but you're also less likely to see as much game as you would in parks where the animals are more concentrated. The park offers walking tours, one of the few Tanzanian reserves to do so. From 80 mi/130 km to 310 mi/500 km southwest of Dar es Salaam. On arrival Meet & Greet Check in at Rufiji River Camp OR Similar for dinner and overnight stay

Day 2+3:- After breakfast Full day game drive, Boat Safari or Walking Safari. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp OR Similar.

Day 4:- After breakfast transfer to airstrip for flight to Ruaha, On arrival meet & greet transfer to Ruaha River Lodge OR Similar for lunch, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5+6:- After breakfast, full day game drive of Ruaha National Park with picnic lunch. Ruaha, with an area of 10,300sq.km. is the second largest park, and second largest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River which flows along its entire eastern border, creating spectacular gorges and scenery, features a large number of hippos and crocodiles. The wide variety of animals include Greater and Lesser Kudu, roan and sable antelope. Bird life is rich, with over 370 species recorded.Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

Day 7:- After breakfast, relax at the lodge or a very short game drive to catch flight departing Ruaha at 1145 Hrs.
